The next monthly Illinois Yearly Meeting (ILYM) Racial Equity and Education Committee’s Antiracism Café will be held Monday, December 15 at 7 pm Central Time Link to join.
Every other month (on the even numbered months), the theme of the Anti racism Café will be Indigenous concerns. For December 2025 it will discuss how we can participate in the Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery, which ILYM agreed to join at its last annual sessions.
Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery, founded by Mennonites and other Anabaptists, is an organization that "invites anyone to join us who seeks to support Indigenous self-determination and efforts to protect the earth from ongoing colonization" (https://dismantlediscovery.org/).
