This coming Sunday, there will be a specially called Meeting for Business to continue discernment around the Apartheid-free Communities Pledge. This will be preceded by a bonus potluck! Please bring dishes to share and join us at 12:15 (note slightly earlier start time than other MfB)

For context, Northside Friends gathered together September. 13 for its regular monthly Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business where decisions are arrived at by communal discernment, a shared effort to find what’s known as “the sense of the meeting.” (Here is a link to Illinois Yearly Meeting’s handbook section on Decision Making. This specially called Meeting for Business follows from that September 13 meeting. See the Clerk’s September 14 email for additional related information.
