Second Hour: Documentary About Dr. Pauli Murray, Civil Rights Activist

Dr. Pauli Murray was a pioneering Black queer civil rights attorney, legal scholar, and co-founder of the National Organization for Women who shaped modern equal rights movements. Overlooked by history, Pauli Murray was a legal trailblazer whose ideas influenced RBG’s fight for gender equality and Thurgood Marshall’s civil rights arguments.

This is a portrait of their impact as a non-binary Black luminary: lawyer, activist, poet, and priest who transformed our world. The 2021 film, “My Name is Pauli Murray,” will be shown in a Second Hour immediately after fellowship following Meeting for Worship.
