This Saturday, June 6, Friends are invited to attend a webinar honoring Apartheid Free Communities’ third year. (Northside Friends Ministry on Racism Committee sponsored a Second Hour on March 29 with Margo Ascher and Jennifer Bing about tangible efforts are being made around the Apartheid-Free Pledge, and this is a chance to find out. On Saturday, June 6, join us to celebrate the three-year anniversary of the Apartheid-Free Communities initiative.

We'll be joined by Omar Barghouti, Co-founder of the BDS Movement for Palestinian Rights, in conversation with grassroots organizers across Turtle Island who are leading anti-apartheid work in their communities.

Among the activities planned for this online Zoom event:

  • We'll hear from a student, a business owner, two faith leaders, and an organizer for Apartheid-Free municipalities.

  • We'll see a performance by a Palestinian singer and songwriter.

  • We'll hear stories, share ideas, and get inspired for the work ahead.
