I want to share the Advice and Query for this evening's Election Eve MfW held at our DG virtual meetinghouse. If you cannot join the Meeting on Zoom (7-8:00 p.m.), perhaps you could take a few moments to join us in silence from wherever you are during that time. Below is the Advice and Query that will be read at the Meeting this evening which you might find helpful in joining in unity of Spirit.

Query: What is the Light within leading Friends to do in response to the unprecedented rise of White Supremacy and White Christian Nationalism that is threatening our country and countries around the world? Adapted from Quaker Call to Action 2022

I am sending this email to Friends in my contact list and ask that you share it with other Friends and attenders from DG as well as Friends from other Meetings. We are the only Election Eve Meeting in IL and our Meeting has been posted at the ILYM FB page, and announced to other Meetings in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Missouri. If you do not have a link to the DG virtual meetinghouse please send me a request by 4:00 p.m. today.

There are 42 Election Eve Meetings for Worship being held tonight in response to the Quaker Call to Action Committee request. If you are led, please join us either at the DG virtual meetinghouse from 7-8:00 p.m., or from wherever you are, to hold the concerns for our country's democracy in the Light and ask the Light to guide us in responding to this crisis.
