Friends are hosting a cozy winter community gathering with two heartfelt intentions:to share with one another through a clothing swap, and to support our unhoused neighbors through a winter clothing drive.
Community Clothing Swap
Bring gently used clothes and shoes you no longer need and other items like jewelry and artwork and enjoy the experience of exchanging them with others. Whether you find something special or simply come to connect, you’re welcome just as you are. We’ll have a variety of teas and some sweets to make the space warm, relaxed, and inviting.
Winter Clothing Drive for the Free Store of Edgewater Mutual Aid
We’ll be collecting items for the free store of an organization that supports people experiencing homelessness. Needed items include:
Winter clothing for men and women
Coats, jackets, sweaters, hoodies
Warm pants, thermal layers
Hats, scarves, gloves
New socks and underwear
Other much-needed items
Backpacks
Unopened hygiene items (toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, wipes, menstrual products, shampoo, soap, etc.)
The link to their site is: https://edgewatermutualaid.org/free-store
You’re welcome to participate in either or both — swap, donate, sip tea, and be in community. There will be a donation jar if you also feel to donate to Edgewater Mutual Aid and Northside Friends.
