This year’s corn roast will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023, 3:00 p.m. until dark at Pioneer Farm, 4614 Pioneer Rd, McHenry IL, 60051 and is hosted by Fox Valley Meeting. To help with planning please send an approximate head count to Judy Gottlieb at gottlj1@gmail.com. 

Fox Valley Friends are providing corn and beverages (hot water for tea, coffee, water, lemonade, iced tea) and flimsy paper plates you can use to cover your dirty dinner plate when you go for desserts.

BRING:

Potluck dish of your choice with serving utensils

Plates, bowls, napkins, cutlery

Comfy lawn chair (there is bench seating at the tables...)

Mask to wear if you are serving food in the warming house

Masks are optional outside

Because Fox Valley is a small meeting, they need help, both during the event and at the end with cleanup. To volunteer, contact Judy Gottlieb at gottlj1@gmail.com. Tasks include greeting and name tags, managing food layout in the warminghouse, overseeing the drink table, helping kids with play, corn roasting, keeping an eye on the port-a-potties and hand washing stations, and cleanup. Major tasks we have at least two people, so you will have breaks. 

Use the Pioneer Tree Farm driveway. Drop off your things near the warminghouse before you park in the field east of the warminghouse.
