American Friends Service Committee Chicago office holds its 90th Anniversary Celebration at 1901 W Carroll Ave. at 6:30 pm. Join us at the Chicago Teacher's Union Foundation venue for a light dinner that reflects the cultures of many of the communities where we work and struggle together.
This celebration is also an opportunity to support the work of the AFSC Chicago Peacebuilding and U.S. Palestine Activism programs through ticket purchase, sponsorship, or direct gifts. There is also a 'Pay as you are led' ticket; we don't want money to hold anyone back from joining us. Register here>
Nationally, AFSC was founded in 1917 to create alternatives to military service during World War I. Since then, we have stood with communities taking bold action to overcome violence, inequality, and oppression.
Guided by the Quaker belief in the divine light of each person, AFSC works with people of all faiths and backgrounds to challenge unjust systems and promote lasting peace.
